Peter McFarland, J.D., LL.M
Principal
A graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, tax attorney Peter McFarland has been licensed to practice law since 2011. He joined Long Law Group in 2013, where he became a partner in 2018. In late 2021, Peter became the principal and sole owner of the firm, changing its name to Fusion Legal & Tax. Peter proudly provides counsel to his clients on matters ranging from business entity and asset protection planning, traditional estate planning, and real estate law, to proactive tax strategies. He is a regular contributor to journals and newspapers and speaks to many business groups by way of webinars and seminars. In his off-hours, Peter can be found hiking with his wife and dog or practicing his tai chi forms.
Karson Mayer
Paralegal
Karson’s roots are in the Midwest, where she grew up in Missouri, and earned her fine arts and education degrees in Illinois. She’s been much of a nomad in her adult life but now is incredibly grateful to call Colorado her home. Our clients and professionals alike benefit from her creative problem-solving and communication skills. Karson hasn’t yet shaken the travel bug, so you can find her catching flights whenever possible. She can also be found camping, hiking, and attending live music events, in her time outside the office.

Brian Woldt
CPA
Brian relocated from Minnesota to join the Fusion Legal & Tax team. During his extensive professional career as a CPA, Brian has primarily focused on preparing business financial statements and federal and state tax returns for businesses and individuals. He has worked with many different types of businesses and has substantial experience with construction and real estate developments. After leaving the office, Brian tackles his second job as a father of four children, roots for the Minnesota Vikings, and sneaks onto the golf course.
Rocky Michaelson
Tax Accountant
Rocky earned his M.S. in Accounting at the University of Colorado at Denver and will soon become a Certified Public Accountant. His goal is to provide the most optimized and efficient tax strategies to clients. In his spare time, Rocky loves being physically active and helping counsel the youth in his area. Most importantly, however, he treasures spending time with his friends and family.

Theresa Cominsky

Theresa is a born and bred New Yorker. At a young age, she found she had a knack for balancing the books and enrolled in Onondaga Community College in Syracuse. She learned accounting inside and out and helped other students via peer tutoring. During her 3 children’s elementary school years, she has remained active in the office world as the administrative assistant to the principal of a college prep charter high school. Theresa has also worked as a finance manager and a real estate staff accountant for a local accounting firm in NY. She is now over the moon to be in Colorado and a part of the FUSION team! Early in their relationship, Theresa and her husband Jim decided to become foster parents. Two of their foster kiddos became their forever children. Theresa now enjoys working the numbers while watching her kids become more independent. Outside of work, you'll find her running around town for her kids and walking her 2 dogs.
Nicholas Kearns
Bookkeeper
Nick is currently a student enrolled in the Ritchie school of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Denver, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He grew up in Wichita, Kansas, but after seeing the opportunities available elsewhere, Nick decided to move out and attend school in Denver. Although he studies engineering, he has a strong interest in finance and accounting, mostly thanks to his time spent working at FUSION. During his free time, Nick enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, and eating. He is excited to discover what the future holds for him!

Stacy Riley
Head of Marketing & Business Development
After earning a B.A. in psychology and spending a decade as a business owner in the performing arts, Stacy was ready for a transition. Since 2019, she has enjoyed using her creative, strategic, and relationship-building skills to bring greater market awareness to the many business services offered at Fusion Legal & Tax. During off-hours, you can find Stacy practicing her French, engrossed in the latest binge-worthy TV series, or exploring beautiful Colorado... And if you watch closely, you may even spot her in a TV commercial!
Mandy Davis
Administrative Specialist
Mandy is a Colorado Native, who earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and criminalistics. She is headstrong and uses the research skills she learned from her studies to solve problems in her daily work. When she's not busy wowing clients at the firm, Mandy loves to travel, eat, hike, read, and visit farmers' markets with her boyfriend. She always has some fun trips up her sleeve, and she has great recommendations for the best food joints in town. An aspiration of hers is to travel to Southeast Asia and visit all its neighboring countries.
